A question for military wives, specifically women with husbands in the Coast Guard...?

I asked this question in the military section but didn't get any good answers.

My husband and I have been married for almost a year. He is seriously considering the Coast Guard and I wanted to know what it's like for the wives and the families of these men.

What is it really like having a family while your husband is serving?

Do you get to spend very much time with your husband?

What happens during family emergencies?

Is it really worth it?

Any tips you might be willing to share or advice you could give me??

A coast guard's wife?  It's O.K.! !

Suggestions :-

1.  Have faith & Belive in God..for the best to happen to U.

2.  Get to know other C.G  families.

3.  Join C.G.wive's welfare society ( if there be ) or, organize one.........

     to oversee C.G.family welfare and recreational aspects...etc

4.  U & U'r famely aren't gonna be tied up with C.G. for the rest of U'r   life.....so, enjoy,make the most of it ..so as to make it worthwhile to remember them as life's memorable memories.
