And claiming it as their own? Ancient Egyptians closest counterparts are probably modern Egyptians and I've always wondered with this debate going on how do you feel about it? Funnily enough it always seems to be those living in America who lay the claims.

  1. I´m agree with Smith, I have been in Louvre Museum and they have the half of Giza there, I think they should back all the Egyptian treasure.....I saw too a black sculpture from Ramses mother in D´orsay Museum, I believe your goverment should talk with them about this.

And England should back Rosetta stone, because is a piece very important for Egyptian culture.

  2. a lot of Muslim Arab came to live in Egypt as a continuation of the Muslim Arab invasion, that's why there is Muslims become Egyptians and tell they are Arabs and Egyptians same time.

but we Copts we are not Arabs nor Muslims.

  3. Its rediculous. but the worst part about it is when you see an Egyptian saying "I'm Arabic" We are not Arabs, we are Egyptians, if anything we are "Copts" *kipt meant people of Egypt*

Ofcourse we speak a Dialect of Arabic, our culture is similar in many ways, we are Muslims & Christians and also Jews.

an Egyptian is an Egyptian, he is not an arab! All we have gotten from the Arabs lately is they have corrupted our pure peacful beautiful way of Islam, now we are noticing WAHABISM (a very fanatical way of Islam)

As for black people trying to say they were Egyptians, this makes me laugh, first of all YES some Egyptians form upper Egypt are very dark skinnned, but they are Nubians but not black in the way black people try to claim.

  4. lebanese people built the pyramids. egyptians lied and said they did after we left.

    i know, i was there.

  5. Well Tarek i totally agree with you .You are a very good example of well educated egyptians proud of thier own unique identity and.

For that lebanese guys why there is not any single pyramids in your country while we have over 90 pyramids yes over 90.

    educate yourself plz .

  6. There are requests pending with many leading museums and private collectors to have returned to Egypt many of the artifacts that were taken out of the country prior to laws being implemented to protect all aspects of Egypt's amazing historical heritage.

The majority of the wall reliefs and temple paintings which includes the zodiac roof of the Dendara Temple were taken out of the country with the full knowledge and consent of the Egyptian Government Services that were in effect at that time.

Mohamed Ali made many gracious gifts to visiting foreign dignitaries as did King Farouk and even President. Nasser.

Formal application has been made for the return of the Rosetta Stone,The bust of Nefertiti, the Dendara Zodiac and several other significant artifacts. But as yet no agreement or date has been established for the return of artifacts.

I see no threat being made by any other races attempting to steal the ancient Egyptian heritage and identity.

With the exception of a few Afrocentric's who from time to time try and seek some credibility for their "theory" that the ancient Egyptian Pharoahs were of a single and black African race and that it was primarily a black civilization that gave us such a unique and long history

This is just sensationalism and has absoutly no credibilty what so ever.

It is more related to attempts to generate book sales than an interest in the ancient Egyptian's historical legacy.

  7. I am not Egyptian, but I have been to Egypt and love it.

It is absolutley ridiculous. Example: England has over 50,000 items in Museums that should belong to Egypt, and Egypt only, most importantly, the Rosetta Stone. New York also has mmany Egyptian items that shouldn't be anywhere else but Egypt.
