A question for my fellow Brits? (although anyone can answer)?

Yes or no, do you think the Royal Family should be abolished? And please give your reasons for your answer.

No , a lot of people say that but they hold this countries values together < whats left of them > in many ways as well as bringing in revenue from tourism.

I only really like princes william and harry anyway and if william becomes king hopefully instead of his dad becoming king, it will do the country good.

No. The queen works VERY hard as an ambassador for our country and so do other members of the royal family. Definitely value for money and I think it helps bring in tourists etc.

They don't have much power, what they do have is international prestige and influence

No. As they don't hold much (very little) power anymore. It would be like suggesting other countries get rid of their Royal Families too!

I dont think we (the taxpayers) should be paying for them though.

I do think that people need to remember that Royalty generates a lot of tourism in this country and to be honest - we need the money don't we!
