A question for non-American (U.S.) residents or citizens - Which U.S. Presidential candidate do you prefer...?

and why? I'd also be interested in knowing what country you're from. Thanks in advance for your input!

I'm from Germany, and I'd prefer Senator Obama simply for his charisma and the openmindedness he seems to represent. Sen. Clinton would probably be a tougher president, technically the "better" president, if you want to put it like that. She seems to have better contacts and more experience in Washington, D.C. but also seems to be a very calculating, almost over-ambitious character.

Sen. McCain would probably be the best president from the German perspective as he favours free trade policies. Also, what he did in Vietnam kind of impresses me, I don't think someone with a bad character would have done it. Generally, I tend to favour the Democrats' policies, and I think either a female or a black "most powerful person on the planet" would be a good thing.

Anyway, I'd opt for Obama, although you never know which way people turn out once in power.

I am from Bosnia. And knowing what the war is all about, which American people don't understand, I support any candidate that is against it. Thus far, Obama seems to be the one that does not think that war should be a first option. His background is African, so he knows how it feels to be poor, hungry and in war, so I think he would do the best job. Living in basements for days and not having anything to eat many times and have lost many friends and neighbors in the war, I hope nobody will have to go through what I went through. I wish American people knew the consequences of wars, and not believe the c**p and lies that are said by the government. PLEASE DON"T EVER SUPPORT THE IDEA TO GO TO WAR.
