If your food bill is much more this year than it was this time last year is it because you have teenagers or is it because the

price of food has gone up?

  1. I have four boys, too.  Two of them are teenagers and they eat SO MUCH!!  We don't allow them to have free rein over the pantry/refrigerator, but still, they can eat!  My eight year old eats a lot also.  I would say that our grocery bill has increased because of how much food my boys eat, regardless of price.

  2. in my neighborhood i actually noticed food prices going down. as for teenagers, they dont eat much more than what a 10 years old eats..and if you have a girl she'll probably eat a lot less (she'll be more conscious of her looks)

  3. I only have one son. 18 yeras old. But most of his friends  are here every day. They pig out constantly then laugh and tell me they are still growing. Then politely ask me to go back to the  store.

EX: I went to Popeyes and bought a 16 piece and all the trimmings. I thought I was safe. Then my son came in with a friend. Those two boys hit that stuff and I ended up having to go buy my husband and I burgers. Now this friend is 7'6 and weighs about 380? (Not sure because he broke the bathroom weight straight down the center...lol). It's crazy, expensive, but the best fun I ever had.

  4. oh lord...

I dont' have teenagers, but my teenage brother is always over here.  yes, the food bill has skyrocketed lol but the price of food has also skyrocketed.  ce' la vie...

  5. the answer is YES to both.

  6. Seriously it's the price of food. Not up a lot, but some. A year ago, you could get a big package of pasta for a dollar, now it's double that, just for an example.

  7. It's actually about the same in my house. With them being teenagers, they're spending more time at friends houses, work, outings etc and inturn are eating out. I buy more chips, prezels etc which are usually on sale (3 bags for $6 for example) than I did when they were younger. They liked those fruit snacks, gummies, ice pops etc that tended to be more expensive. The money that I am no longer spending on children's snacks I am now putting into cold cuts, dinner meats etc.

  8. My food bill really didn't change as my kids got older. Like the first answer said, they end up buying their own meals when they go out friends or snacks throughout the day. While my son's appetite did change as he got older, he went from eating c**p to lots of fruits and shakes when he was at home.

  9. THEY EAT ALOT!!!!!!!!! Get ready and have Fun
