Does it happen every month (like when your period is supposed to come)? Does it rarely happen? Is it pink, red, or brown? How heavy is it? How long does it last? What causes it? And how often does it happen?

  1. i had three periods in the first three months with my oldest. i read that it is common with your first and in early pregnancy. it was a normal heavy period the first two times then light the third.

  2. hi from reading and researching i found out that those people who have "periods" for the first 3 months is half true. some people actually spot when it was their period because of low hormones. but its never the flow of a regular period and yes it can last for a couple of days. some people its red others its pink or brown. but its only light bleeding anything else signals a problem.

and others just spot randomly and its only spotting alot of times its pink and brown. but whats crazy is that some people spot a lil and miscarry and others bleed heavily and have a healthy baby...

  3. I have only had spotting problems once. I think I was 6 weeks 4 days. I noticed it because I scoop my area while cleaning in the shower and I just saw a hint of blood.. It worried me a lot and I cried myself to sleep.. The next day I saw a pinkish colour on my toilet paper and I went into the ER. The doctors there had said everything is fine and that some people do just spot. I haven't had that problem again yet but I know it could easily happen since I am still early. It wasn't heavy at all... Just a little discolouration on my toilet paper.. Pinkish!

  4. I had my period I don't care what anyone says it was a period.. I know what they look like.. but now i have not gotten my second one :) 9 weeks pregnant

  5. i am 13 weeks pregnant with my second. the first pregnancy went almost too smooth. this one has been a little rough. i found out i was pregnant the day before fathers day. then on fathers day i started cramping and spotting (which was light pink in color and was literally like a small streak when i wiped). so i went to the dr the next day and he told me it was implantation bleeding, which is when the fertilized egg implants itself into the uterine wall. he said that usually your uterus will just absorb that blood but in some woman it exits through the v****a. so the spotting did stop after 2-3 weeks. then i was fine for about a week or so and i started cramping really bad then i passed a blood clot (dark red in color and about a half dollar sized solid clot/mass) i was sure that i had miscarried. so i went to the dr again, they did an ultrasound (vaginally) and they could see the baby and it's heartbeat! the dr told me i had a large bleed to one side of my uterus and that i had a "threatened miscarriage". they couldnt explain why it happened exactly (just like with most actual miscarriages) . but they said that because we saw a heartbeat my chance of miscarriage was greatly reduced. the dr also said that about 50% of pregnant women experience some sort of bleeding at one point, or throughout, their pregnancy. after that visit i stopped bleeding and spotting after about 2-3 weeks. now i am no longer spotting or bleeding at all. hopefully i wont start again. i hope my experience has shed a little light on some things that can happen.
