Hello,

I was wondering how much would a waiter share from his tip to other employees at O'charley's. Also how many tables do you start out with and what's the rate of advancement in the number of tables.

Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom! :)

  1. I don't work at O'Charley's, but I'm assuming the tipping out procedure is pretty standard. Usually as a server you tip out 10% of tips, or 2.5% of sales to the busser, 1% of sales, or 10% drink sales to the bartender, and depending on if the hosts are on a tip-share policy or if you have a food runner, you may have more of a tip out. Also, starting, you'll probably be in a 3 table section (most corporate chains are set up this way), and usually can work your way into 5 table sections.
