What are your thoughts on Canada's Health Care system? Do you like it? Hate it? Why or why not? (please mention what part of Canada you are from) & Details=10.

I&#039;m an Aussie with permanent residency in Ontario Canada,my experience with health care here is nothing but great.I have never waited to be treated and when i had a serious injury was fixed up immediately with great results

also have not waited too long for any tests i may have needed

all in all i think the system works pretty good

If it was not free people would not stand for it.  In Europe people have sued and won because they receive what would be considered prompt treatment here.

Unless you are dying expect to wait for everything.  A five hour wait in the emergency room here means it&#039;s a slow day.  And if you don&#039;t have a family doctor now you are not getting one any time soon, none of them are taking new patients. And just like in Cuba or North Korea there is no alternative to the public system without leaving the country, except for athletes, politicians and some other important people.

anyone who has had a serious illness in canada will tell you that the system is great . people who go to the emergency with an ingrown toenail will wait their turn.  ontario.
