A question for the Tibetans or free-Tibet extremists?

Question

Do you want Tibet to be an independent country?

If it does become independent, do you think another country will take over it?

What are your accusations against China?

Where did you hear about it? How do you know?

Do you know the history of Tibet and China's relationship?

How did this conflict arise? It seems very recent ( past year )

I'm asking these questions because there is so much claims from both sides (pro-Tibet people and also the Chinese people, my family) I'm seriously confused due to the propaganda.

If you would like to understand the Tibetan perspective and as you are Chinese, I recommend you read about Chinese history of the Opium Wars and the subsequent exploitation of China by Western powers. That is how Tibetans feel, being forcibly controlled by an outside power.

Asking extremist will not get you an unbiased answer, and you will likely end up the brunt of unpleasant responses by Westerners uneducated about Tibetan history.
