A question for the lawyers out there...?

I paid for shipping for a "free" product online but it came with a ten day trial. After the ten days they will put me on their subscription and charge me monthly. The ship date is 08/05/08 and they charged me today 08/14/08. I haven't had it for ten days yet so they cannot charge me correct? I tried to cancel the subscription online but it says my account does not exist. I can't call them now because it's after hours but I will try tomorrow definately.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Hopefully, you paid by credit card. You can contact them and dispute the charge. They will probably credit your account.

Sounds like they counted the shipping date as the first day of your trial, which would make the 14th the tenth day. Unfair but not illegal.
