  1. 14, 15...? you guys are losing it!

no dates before the kid is an adult......i'd say 25

  2. My children are still too young, but our plans are to let them do group dates around 14-15 and go from there.  I think it is something that we will need to see when the time comes and it may be different for each of my kids, depending on how mature and responsible they are.

  3. When our children are 15 (maybe 14), they'll be allowed to double date or group date.  A parent will also be on site though.  If they go to the movies, then an adult must also be in the movie theater somewhere.  It won't be until after they are 16 that they can go on single dates.  However, it also is based off their maturity levels.  If they have already gotten into some trouble with the opposite s*x and have made it clear that they aren't ready to be "alone" with their boyfriend/girlfriend, then we'll just have to play it by ear.  My husband and I both agree on this.  Too strict?  Maybe, but its how we feel about the whole situation.

  4. My husband and I have discussed this on numerous occassions. It mainly boils down to their maturity level, though. Our rule is when you can drive, that's when you can date. Matt [my hubby] and I think that 16 is the aproppirate time to go on the date alone [just the two of them]. And 14-15 is a good time to go on group dates/double dates. Hope this helps :)

  5. I would say 15 is a good age to "date".  I would let them do group outings at 13 maybe.  it all depends on the child and how much you trust them.  I haven't gotten there yet.

  6. When my children was 15 they started the group dating. Then at 16 they start dating but most of the time it was still a group date. My 20 year still does a lot of group dates.

  7. My daughter is 14 and has been going on group dates for over a year. They usually go to the movies and out to eat. They do things at our house and at his with his parents. I don't know when we will let her go on a date alone. At their age they have to be driven and picked up. Sometimes we go with them.
