  1. its called discharge and alot of women get before or after there period and it is completely normal

  3. Most importantly, you need to go to a gynecologist when you get your first period!

Have your parents schedule you an appointment for "in between" your periods. Your first visit will be very uncomfortable, but bring a grown-up that you can trust in the room with you (they can stand by your head, so they can't see anything), to support you and hold your hand. The doctor can answer all of these questions in detail, and offer advice on how diet and exercise can effect your period!!!

From experience, my periods have lasted from 2 - 6 days, usually 4 days. Your next period just might last 6 days, but if it lasts more than 6 days, you could have an issue. Don't panic, just talk to your doctor!

Brown blood just means that there's more oxygen in it. Plus it may be diluted with discharge. *For me*, this is typical on the first and last days of my menstrual cycle. Just use a pant liner. So don't worry, but still, talk to your doctor.

    Good luck!!!

    missa

  4. it ok. sounds very normal. usually when it just starts, its just a few coming out, but its not really red because its mixed with your regular vaginal discharge. and the same for the last day of it. its just because it's a few drops coming out. your vaginal discharge is white, and period of course is red. since its only a little of red mixed with the white you get brown. just like if you mix ketchup and mayo together you get brown. you see the red more around the 2,3,4 day because its a much regular flow than the beginning or end

  5. Periods can be brown, red or pink... all normal.

  6. All totally normal! The blood starts to turn brown the older it is...new blood is red. For me, usually toward the end of my period the blood is more brown as well. It's just because it has been exposed to more oxygen.

The brown you got before your period is called "spotting" and that is also very normal, especially for your first time. Your body was just kind of getting ready to have your period.

Also, remember that during your period you are actually shedding the lining of your uterus, so it's not all going to be just blood...there will be some pretty nasty looking stuff in there sometimes but it's all totally normal. Gross, but normal.

  7. Yes it is normal. It is call discharge. It is clear but when it react with the air it looks like yellowish to brown. It will be there for rest of your life... I mean until you hit menopause.

Oh.... old left over blood can be brown as well.

  8. that is completely normal!! don't worry!!

as long as it's not green and foamy you have no worries!!

trust me i speak from experiance..

    (joking.. ;) )

  9. NORMAL, IT WILL BE LIKE THIS UNTIL MENOPAUSE.

  10. When first starting your period, it's quite normal for it to be brown and no, it most likely won't be for the rest of your life. Brown indicates old blood which isn't bad.
