A question for you mothers!?

Question

Okay iff your doughter had her period and asked to use tampons would you let her and what would u think. My mom wouldnt let me i just want to see where she is comming from. Thanx soo much!

Well I think that your mom just wanted you to get the "hang" of using pads and everything else that goes along with getting your period before you move to tampons, which can be unsafe and sometimes difficult to use.  They're also not for everyone!  There's no secret, weird reason, but I'd stick with pads for a little while.  Good luck!

Why wouldn't you allow her to use tampons?  That sounds like saying you can't use an electric tooth brush.

I guess I would.  Personally I hate tampons.  They are uncomfortable.  Not to be crude but its like walking around while using a dry cotton cork.  My Mom was against me using them because she was afraid of toxic shock but today's tampons have little to no risk involved.  Try them you may hate them too.  They really don't make your period any easier or cleaner really.  Pads today are super thin and if applied right nobody will ever know you are wearing one.  Tampons for me are for when I want to go swimming or I ran out of pads.  Personal preference though.

My mom doesnt let me use tampons ..cuz she says its 4 people who have s*x which is bullshit and she said its like losing your virginity which is also BULL atleast your mom doesnt make up BULL....but i used one once because i had nothing else....it felt uncomfortable n yeah

My mom told me not to, but didn't say why either.

So the logical reason is that if your daughter just got her period, she is probably still a virgin and using tampons could tear her hymen (little piece of tissue across vaginal opening).  As this is the only physical way of proving virginity, it might be important to keep.

i would probably say its fine.

go buy her some and let her try them out.

see how she feels with them.

its her choice to use them, not mine.
