Luke 19:27

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. (KJV)

This comes from the parable of the harsh master/parable of the talents.

The parable starts: He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.. (Luke 19:12)

Matthew has a similar story which defines the Kingdom of God as the Master (Matt 25:14) and ends And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt. 25.29-30)

In your opinion, are these too passages referring to the same thing? Or is one talking about an earthly death and the other a spiritual?

  1. Bile is a bodily fluid - does it have verses???

  2. They are speaking about the same thing. There is only one death. You first die on this earth and then if you don't believe God you face judgment and die eternally.

  3. These verses mean essentially the same thing, they are just told different ways.

What these verses mean is that God has given each of us talents and abilities which we are to use to glorify God. When we do not use our talents, or if we use them for the wrong reasons God is displeased and will punish us.

  4. They are both similar with eternal consequences.

  5. You must mean Bible verse instead of Bile.  You surely meant to use the word TWO passages as well.
