  1. blood is supplied to all parts of the body thru arteries...these arteries form a system with the help of branches..known as arterial system...two main aorta arise from the heart...

a.systemic aorta...originates from the left ventricle, this arch also curves dorsalwards and to the left...it then supplies the pure blood(oxygenated) to all parts of the body by various branches as follows:

1.coronary arteries....arise from the very base of the arch to supply the heart wall itself....

2.innominate arteries...arise from the curvature of the arch...soon splits into long, right and left common carotid arteries..which runs forward into the head....

3.subclavian artey....arises from the proximal part of right common carotid...two branches arise from it...vertebral and internal mammary....thereafter it enters the forelimb as as a long branchial artery..after giving out the subclavian, the systemic arch sharply turns backwards and medianwards and runs back along the mid dorsal line of body as dorsal aorta...

4.intercoastal arteries.....in thoracic region 5 to 7 pairs of intercoastal arteries arise from the dorsal aorta and supply the dorsal wall of thorax, muscles of ribs,pericardium,lungs,bronchi,oesophagu... etc....

5.phrenic arteries...arise from aorta and supply the diaphragm...

6.coeliac artery...arises from left side of dorsal aorta and splits into hepatic artery to supply the liver and a lienogastric artery to supply the stomach and the spleen....

7.anterior mesentric artery...arises from the left side of dorsal aorta and splits into several branches to supply duodenal wall, pancreas and walls of small intetsine, ceacum, colon etc.....

8.renal arteries..dorsal aorta gives out 2 renal arteries 4 the kidneys....

9.gonadal....behind the renals, two symmetrical gonadals(spermatic in males and ovarian in females)arteries arise from the dorsal aorta to supply the gonads..

10.posterior mesentric artery....arises from the left side of dorsal aorta and supplies to hind part  of colon and r****m....

11.lumbar arteries..arises from the dorsal aorta and supplies the dorsal wall of body...

    pulmonary aorta

originates from the right ventricle, this arch soon curves dorsalwards and to the left and then splits into right and left pulmonary arteries for respective lungs.....

    venous system of humans....

the venous return from lungs is of pure, oxygenated blood, brought by 2 pulmonary veins which open into the left atrium by a common pore...the venous return from all other parts of the body is impure blood...it is brought in to the right atrium  by 3 principal veins called vena cava or postcaval vein and right and left anterior venae cavae or precaval veins....

    anterior veins....

formed by confluence of 3 long and major veins...the external and internal jugular veins and a subclavian vein.....before opening into the right atrium each precaval vein recives 2 more veins...the internal mammary vein and the an anterior intercoastal vein...an AZYGOS VEIN is formed on the right side of the body..this vein opens into the right precaval behind the right anterior intercoastal....

    posterior veins....

the posterior vena cava forms right and left external iliac veins and median by pogastric vein...just after penetrating thru the diaphragm, the vena cava recieves a pair of phrenic veins....hypogastric vein is formed by the union of right and left internal iliac....postcaval vein recieves gonadal veins, renal veins ,hepatic veins and iliolumbar veins.......

  2. ARTRIES pump fresh blood to your body WHILE VEINS CARRY IMPURE BLOOD TO KIDNEY.

  3. Arterial system carries oxygenated blood while venous system carries deoxygenated blood to the heart.Arterial system end in capillaries while venous system begin with capillaries.

  4. arteries pump fresh blood to your body... veins pump used blood to your heart.

  5. Arteries have thick, elastic walls to carry blood at high pressure away from the heart. Veins have thinner walls and carry blood at lower pressure back to the heart.

Arteries carry oxygenated blood, except for the pulmonary artery which carries deoxygenated blood from the right ventricle to the lungs to pick up oxygen. Veins carry deoxygenated blood, except for the pulmonary vein which carries oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium.

Veins have valves to prevent the backflow of blood.

    Hope this helps!
