what are the advantages of functional and regional decentralization for a company who has stores in different countries? and are they any disadvangtages to decentralization?

for me the decentralization is the best way in an organization coz in decentralization everyone thinks the organization as his own and works as if he is working for the benefit his own..
                   the disadvantage is the threat of dispersing the organizational internal and external environment....
