A question regarding modesty and temptation in a coed christian school?

This is just one of those silly questions you ponder on when you are bored or need a good distraction.

I attended a co ed Christian school.. wonderful school but they had a strange rule regarding gymn attire .. We all had to wear Gymn uniforms , with the school emblem and school name printed on them. The boys wore t shirts and sweat pants the girls wore t shirts and wore shorts like attire . The boys were not aloud to wear shorts apparently so we would not entice the girls with our seductive teenage legs .. But their legs on the other hand were very exposed . I dont understand that . We also had of course separate gymn clases so there wasnt much chance of the boys swooning over the girls legs either . It seems like a dumb rule to me to begin with but even more stupid when you consider that the legs that might encourage lust were the ones exposed and that seems to defeat the purpose ...

Ask the administration where in the Bible it says that boys and or men should not wear shorts. They can not find it because it is not there. Debate it with a King James Version Bible because many of them do not want to hear from other versions. Nothing in the Bible suggest that boys or men should keep there legs covered even during church services.
