A question regarding schoolyard fighting?

When you were in elementary school, did you often see kids beating each other up after school? If so, how did your school deal with it? Did they ignore it since school was being let out or did the kids actually get into trouble? When I was a kid, schoolyard fights went on about once a week but that was because the kids knew that they could get away with it. How was it in your school days?

  1. Well in high school, there are alot more fights than in primary!

Everyone gathers round the people who are fighting and some people are chanting 'Fight, Fight' and some people and videoing it! Its quite scary lol, I was once in the front row of a really serious fight and it was really scary! :|

They kids usually get suspended for like 3 days

  2. MOST of the time, fights broke out in school. So the teachers and staff can immediately break it up. In middle school anyway. In High school, most fights break out after school, but mostly away from the school grounds. At my school, everyone was aware of the trouble you can get into if you fought on school grounds. Our school would suspend you and sometimes issue a citation if they were older and fighting after school. We had police officers that patrolled school grounds.

  3. We were always fighting, but that was it not carrying guns and weapons. We'd fight and it would be over, Sometimes, the people fighting would end up friends. The school only got involved if it was during school time and on their property.

  4. Not often, but I saw a couple wicked ones.

  5. Leave them alone.....let 'em fight.......they're learning valuable social skills!

  6. In my school there was a lot of bullying and fights after school.  Schools are more aware of it now but sometimes it goes too far in other direction.
