A question regarding the ps3?

Does ps3 support pen drives ? I loaded a few images , music n videos on to my pendrive and plugged it to my ps3 . The ps3 does detect the pendrive but does not display any of the files in it.

I got wireless lan at my place and have been tryin to get my ps3online. But so far no luck

NE ideas ??? The ps3 does detect the signal

ma pen drive is in fat32 format

also tried namin d folder MUSIC , VIDEOS , IMAGES

no luck yet

  1. you have to press triangle to display everything on the drive. i had the same problem at first. but then i used triangle and it works now


  2. yeah naming hte folders MUSIC, VIDEO, PHOTO is hte way, so your MUSIC folder should have worked, the Ps3 needs the folder in caps to see it, hopefulyl an update will allow the Ps3 to scan the drive instead of needing to be in proper folders.

    or jsut press traingle ( trinalge open options on nearly everything onthe XMB, its a wonder button), however that can make palying musica bit awkward as you need ot individdually select each song to add to a palylsit or ot copy to the HDD.


  3. try highlighting the drive then pressing triangle to display side menu. Then on the sub menu click on show all files. In order to see any files u   have to be in the right category. For example, if u want to open up pictures u have to be withing the photo category section. Same goes for music and videos. For the Internet. Go into your network settings a and enable internet. Then choose wether your connection is wireless or wired. In your case you would select wired. Hope this helps.
