Im vegetarian, am i right to be bothered about meat being cooked in the same pots and pans?

im 19 and i live with my boyfriend, 21, whose a heavy meat eater, i want to buy my own set of pots and pans and everything because im bothered by all his steak and stuff being cooked in the same pots and pans i use.

i dont think he really minds either way but do you think this is really petty or is it valid reasoning? i mean, i know it gets washed and everything, but i still find it so gross! also because when my bf does the dishes, he does them so dodgy lol! even worse when he thinks im not watching haha

  1. I think it's ok if it's washed, obviously don't use the same grill to make his steak and your non-meat at the same time as there could always be some contamination. But you could buy a few pans but there's always a chance they will get mixed up.

  2. You should do what ever it is that you feel comfortable with. Some people use separate cookware, while others simply wash thoroughly.

  3. As long as the pots and pans are washed good your just fine.

  4. Valid.

Your morals, if he can't respect 'em, dump his sorry ***.

  5. dont spam dear...

  6. I believe that you should do what you think is right. If you find it horrible, I would suggest you get your own pans and pots, as it is best to do what you think is good. if i were in your place, I would never use the same pans and pots used to cook meat, as in my opinion they are basically tools used to help murder. For example, I wouldn't dig sand with a spade that has been used to cut peoples guts out!

  7. If he doesn't wash the pots properly I would say don't use them. It might be best if you encouraged him to do the wash effectively.
