A question with wireless headphones.?

Question

I got a pair of wireless headphones for my tv from my grandpa who passed away. I am not sure how they quiet work. I know how to plug them in but they keep shutting off after about a minute of use. Does the base unit they sit on recharge the batteries, or would I need to buy new ones. Because of the circumstances of how I received them, I do not have manual. They are brand RCA WHP 175

It sounds as if they are not getting good contact when charging, or th batteries have died

They ARE rechargeable batteries but even they need replacing from time to time.

There should be an LED on the base that shows when the headset is on the base, it may change to Green from Red when charging
