  1. Take your car in for a tune up, and be sure that you tires are filled correctly.  Even though they look ok, they may still be 5 lbs. underweight.  Also, don't do "rabbit starts", and drive close to the rec. speed limit for your car.

  2. Green cars are a waste of money. Seriously, you pay an extra 5 thousand dollars for it and it doesn't even pay itself back with gas throughout its lifetime. You want to save some money, buy a real car.

  3. Get a car that is green

  4. Some more tips:

If you can, don't use A/C as this lowers mileage considerably.

There is no need to leave your car idling for more than a few minutes.

Along with properly inflated tires, make sure they are the right size for your vehicle. It happens all to often!

Driving over 110 km/hr lowers mileage about 27%.

Make sure you take your old tires to a tire shop so they can be recycled.

Try to stick to the same octane of gas as switching octanes frequently can foul your fuel filter.

    Kudos for thinking "green"!!

  5. I had a green car once- it was pretty ugly.   My friends got a bunch of paint rollers and painted it red one night.   That didn't help much...

  6. Consolidate all necessary trips! Walk ,use bike or Public Transportation as much as possible!
