  1. 2.998e8 m/s

    There are 3.1558e7 seconds in a year.

    (365.25 x 24 x 60 x 60)

    so a LY is 2.998e8 m/s x 3.1558e7 sec = 9.4610e15 meters

    for 19 LY, 9.4610e15  x 19 = 1.7976e17 meters

    1AU = 1.50e8 km = 1.5e11 meters

    19 LY = 1.7976e17 / 1.5e11 = 1.20e6 AU

    check my arith.
