A "real" deal on a diamond in Dallas. I need an actual connection!?

I abhore the thought of paying retail for a diamond, but don't have any connections in Dallas. I don't care about GIA certification or a flashy setting. I just want a relatively large diamond for a good price. I am not going to the "Diamond Doctor", those prices are not even close to what I know you can get a diamond for if you have a connection. Does anyone know of a good place to find a pretty diamond in Dallas where you don't pay the light bill of the jewelry store when you purchase? If it helps I am looking for a cushion cut over 1.75 carats.

  1. I have a great connection, but I'm not sure how he would feel about me giving his info on the internet.  If you can tell me how much you want to pay, I can see if he's willing to do it.  E-mail me your e-mail address.

  2. the jewelry channel on cable has great prices

    try village jewelry's

    Dallas gold and silver

the antique malls have great prices on jewelry, you might find something you can re-set or a loose diamond

good luck and I'm with you on the prices

two things that are so very over priced diamonds and furniture over 500% mark up it's stupid
