A race win is not far away - Nico Rosberg
The Mercedes GP driver, Nico Rosberg is keen to bag a few race wins in 2011 Formula One season. After looking at the way the team is preparing for the upcoming season and the development of the next car, the German is quiet confident about his performance
this season.

The young driver entered the 2010 season alongside the biggest driver ever in the history of the sport Michael Schumacher and with the double title winner team of 2009 Brawn GP. Initially, he was quite hopeful for winning a race or two. However, the team failed
to provide him with a competitive car, and all through the year both the team drivers were far from challenging the front-runners, Red Bull Racing, McLaren and Ferrari.
Although, the team drivers as well as the entire squad strived hard at the start of the year but by the mid season, the team boss Ross Brawn accepted that both the titles were out of their reach. On his return from mid-season summer break, he announced to
having halted developing 2010 car and shifting all attention to next season’s package.

Regardless of their uncompetitive car, Rosberg kept giving his best on the track and was able to stand at the podium a few times, demonstrating some great racing spectacles on the track. The young driver also stands as the only teammate of the seven-time world
champion, ending the season ahead of him.
After having being praised immensely by all the critics and race analysts, Rosberg still thinks that for him the race results mean more than what the media says. While talking to the reporters earlier today he stated, "That's probably the case in the media,
but I am not really concerned about that. For me, it's important that I have a better car next season and I am able to win races. Career-wise, it is important that the people who make decisions in F1 see my performance and I think that, to them, my performance
has been evident this year [in 2010]. They have seen that I have done a good job."

Moreover, the Mercedes GP team boss, Ross Brawn also hopes to see the driver bagging a race win very soon. He said, "He's a quiet driver in the sense that you don't see many flamboyant actions on track. But when he gets past someone, he's good in terms of overtaking.
He just gets on with it and maybe that hasn't captured the public's imagination. Once he wins a race, which he will do, that will change."
