A railroad tunneled through copperhead ridge in dickenson co.?

on the bee va. side of the ridge there are remnents of trestle abutments,and on the dickerson russel coal company side(near the historic clinchfield steam plant) there is a tunnel portal sealed up, no markings to what railroad it was though, unsure if the n&w or clinchfield, or even the virginian. any info would be appreciated.

  1. It's tough to say without knowing any towns the line was near as the N&W, Clinchfield and Louisville & Nashville all had lines in southwestern Kentucky (the Virginian I believe operated through southern West Virginia and eastern Virginia to Norfolk/Newport News).
