18.0 mols H2SO4 / 1L solution *98.07g H2SO4 /mol H2SO4/[1.84 g solution / 1 L solution *1000mL/ 1L

= 19.94%

this is what my professor said but i don't know where or how he got 19.94%

  1. Actually

    according to me

    density = 1840 g/L

    Molar mass H2SO4 = 98.07 g/mol

    18.0 mol/L x 98.07 g/mol = 1765.3 g/L of H2SO4 in the solution

    1765.3 x 100 / 1840 = 95.9 => % by mass

  2. density = 1840 g/L

    Molar mass H2SO4 = 98.07 g/mol

    18.0 mol/L x 98.07 g/mol = 1765.3 g/L of H2SO4 in the solution

    1765.3 x 100 / 1840 = 95.9 => % by mass

    This is the correct answer
