I found a really posh flat in central London for less than 130 a week. All furnished, is it too good to be true? I feel like there must be a catch and its a bit scary to be honest, the owner is basically just giving it to me to rent. If its fake what should I be looking for? whats the worst that could happen

  1. hi, you can buy m ine if you like.............i dont think my landlord would like it but sod him lol shall we say 33 thousand?

  2. wow that is to good to be true almost but with flats theres not much of a risk really so i say take it up!

  3. Are you sure you're getting the whole flat and not just one room?

Check what the extra charges are - usually you will only pay council tax, gas, electricity, water, phone, internet and TV.

  4. Talk to the neighbours.  Check you are really dealing with the genuine landlord.  Google the address, landlords name etc.  See who is on the electoral roll for that address (try 192.com)

  5. Is it half and half i.e part money, part payment of sorts.Be careful you can smell a rat there is usually a rat.trust your instincts

  6. you've got to be kidding, a box next to the river Thames maybe!

  7. yes.... theys probably a catch

  8. Check the plumbing, rodents or it might be freezing at winter.  Or Haunted.  Better yet, maybe the owner like you.

  9. Too good to be true, something is not right here !

Flats in Central London normally go for beteween £750 - £1,500 per calander month.

    Steer clear !
