In Old San Juan, I had a great dessert called territas...it seemed to be a layered mousse in a ramekin with a pistachio mousse layer and a chocolate layer with a crumbled cookie/cake texture. Is this a traditional dessert and does anyone have a recipe?

  1. yes its very good its called tierrita wich means soil like the one you out on plants , thats why we serve it on a ramekin this is how i make it good luck and enjoy .

    ingridients:

    ground Oreo cookies

    chocolate pudding

    small terracotta or plastic pots

cherry or small plastic tree branch for decoration

    Directions

In each pot, make a layer about 1/2 inch thick of ground Oreo cookies. Fill the pot to about an inch from the top with chocolate yogurt. Make another 1/2 inch thick layer of ground Oreo cookies. Do not press hard on this last layer, or it might penetrate the softer layer below.

Garnish with a long-stemmed cherry or a small plastic tree branch.
