  1. Not at all it means Dems watched both conventions cause they believe in education & intelligence. It doesn't mean weren't bored  & trying not to fall asleep. OBAMA/BIDEN 08

  2. Obama never had a star status that's what John Mccain and the Republicans have tried to smear him as.

  3. I NEVER saw him as a star.

Just another boring loser with hot air.

  4. Obama was never a star. The media is only making news out of this man. Do you think american are stupid to vote for a candidate whose only remarkable performance is mere presence in the senate. Give the man credit for his empty speeches. Only fools and desperate would believe and take him seriously.

  5. No.  McCain is not interested in the 13-17 age group in which Obama has a substantial lead.

  6. Absolutely not! It simply means that a h**l of a lot of people were in the mood for a good laugh! I know it did the trick for me!

  7. the star status of Nobama is only bright among liberal, uneducated, women and blacks.

with a non record like Nobam and the oldest standing member in the senate (Biden) he is just another Washington insider with no clue of how to run America.

    Change??? thats for sure.

there will be a lot more idiots in the oval office if he wins.

break out the watermelon and KFC

  8. No.  A lot of Democrats also watched McCain last night because Democrats like to be informed.

  9. One can hope.

If not now, then soon I would imagine. In the light of the two experienced leaders he opposes I would imagine folks will soon begin to notice his lack of substance.

  10. They might have been recording it to catch clips of his flip-flopping to upload onto You Tube*.

  11. They did a conversation about alot of people watching the speeches, they just say it's likely this year is the most importan speaches in a long time.  IMO, Obama = good speaker, McCain = good plan.

  12. Obama had more.. if you check the records.. he topped 40 million.

  13. Shooting star, baby! Burn bright, burn fast, burn out.

People are finally hearing exactly what change we can expect from our leaders. McCain and Palin have made specific promises - not just "change" because it feels good.

    .

  14. No, I watch both of the conventions to see both sides of the election. What is all this "star" stuff? Obama is running for the president of the United States, of course he's going to be famous.

  15. I think as long as McCain is old and Obama's young, he'll never lose his star status.

  16. "38 million tuned into watch Senator Barack Obama accept the Democratic presidential nomination, according to Nielsen Media Research."

We know 40 million plus watched Sarah; so, McCain beat Obama by 900,000 viewers.

  17. Just for the record I watched both conventions and every speech.  Obama's speech was on Prime Time for that person above.

I believe McCain's entire line up was more serious about our country.  More heart felt and true.  I can believe in John McCain, where as I can not in Barack Obama.  He made 160 promises and many "if you know how the government works" he can not possibly achieve.  So to me he is a liar.  I do not need to be spoon fed my information.

    COMMON SENSE

    McCain/Palin 08

  18. No, it means we actually wanted to see a Republican that can speak English.

It is kind of like wanting to see a talking dog or singing monkey.

  19. Let's say for a moment these viewership numbers are true...

Where where the other 70,000 people in the auditorium sitting? Didn't seem like 80,000 + in attendance!

  20. it does and you better believe obama is hating it.

haven't you noticed how obama is a little more bitter lately?

i'm sure it will wear off though and the media will start favoring obama again..if they ever stop trying to smear palin..

  21. At least Obama  will always be popular in a racist, nutbar church in Chicago...

  22. Nope, it just means the Mccain family is really, really funny to watch.

  23. No, it means that millions more watched Obama online. McCain supporters can't do that.

  24. The ratings show people stayed on that channel because they all fell asleep with the TV on.

  25. i agree with coach lynne. democrats are interested in both sides, thats why there were so many viewers. the repubs are so vague with thier promises and so full of religious and super american uproar it disgusts me. im proud of my country and my God but does it have to be thrown out there EVERY SECOND? its pretty disgusting to hear/watch and i wish i could get those hours of my life back

  26. No.  Just means more people are interested  in McCain right now.

  27. It is not a fair assesment. Obama's speech was not on the major network channels.

  28. Rasmussenreports.com says Palin is viewed more favorably than Obama and McCain.   Palin has a 58% favorable rating.  McCain and Obama tied at 57% each and Biden is only viewed favorably by 48%.

Obama was a shooting star- finally fizziling out.......

  29. It is pretty apparent that Obama is not the sole star in this campaign anymore
