A riddle or trivia question?

So I heard this little trivia question a while ago, and this might not be the exact story. I was waiting for the answer but never heard it. A kid is at some carnival. A guy says if I guess your weight you give me $50 and if I get it wrong I give you $50. Anyways, there was no scale around. And the kid figured, hey I could just lie about it after he guesses. What did the carnival guy say to get the $50?

You have the story almost right  but it has to be worded this way to work:

A kid is at a carnival. The carnival worker says  "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50." Anyways, there was no scale around. And the kid figured, hey I could just lie about it after he guesses.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50.

The question is: How did the man win the bet?

The answer is:  The carnival worker writes "YOUR EXACT WEIGHT" on the piece of paper so he wins the bet.

he just guesses it.....? he didnt say he had to get it right for the kid to give him money...? lol d**n u i dont know and that is goinh to bug the c**p out of me now!!!!

Oh man now I want to know.

ummm.........maybe he is guessing a time like 10 seconds because thats how long he waited for the kid to decide.    

I DON'T KNOW and its going to drive me nuts till I do.
