If you want to go this summer you can get still get some last minute deals.  Prices for 3 night cruises out of Miami are as low as $300 per person (based on double occupancy) and the best prices on 4 night cruises are between $400-$500 also leaving from Miami.

You are on the right track planning ahead , I would love to help you plan your trip . Legal drinking age in MOST of the Caribbean is 18 , including the Bahamas & international waters on a cruise ship . I strongly suggest you & your travel buddy ( or buddies ) obtain your Passports for this trip . Bahamas cruises mostly leave from Florida ports & vary in length from 3 - 7 days , with the longer cruises having other ports of call besides the Bahamas , and obviously the longer the cruise , the more it will cost . With cost being the obvious primary factor for you , I suggest you consider staying at an all inclusive resort , instead ; that way EVERYTHING will be included in the cost of the trip , INCLUDING unlimited alcoholic beverages . I would suggest an all inclusive resort in Puerto Plata , Dominican Republic as the best place for your trip , instead of the Bahamas , because of the cost . I just sent a group of 10 college kids there in early June for 5 days / 4 nights for $613 each TOTAL ( R/T air , hotel , bus shuttle between airport & hotel both ways , unlimited meals , snacks & beverages - yes , even alcohol , all taxes , fees & surcharges ) .
