4. What is the final velocity of a bus that accelerates at a rate of 30m/2 to the 2nd power for a period of 2 min. if the initial v is 2 m/s?

  1. 1) The runner is going nearly 25 miles per hour.  My guess is after 1 hour, his acceleration will be zero, because he will be exhausted.

    2)  Surel you mean 2 m/s^2?  In that case, 2 * 30 + 20 m/s

    3)  x = 1/2 a t^2   where t = 5.21, x= 110m.  so a = 8.1 m/s^2

    4) 30 m/s^2 * 120 sec + 2 m/s = 3602 m/s, which is > 8000 mph.  Some bus!
