  1. A salvage title means the vehicle was a total loss for an insurance company and bought and rebuilt by an individual to make money. If it could have been fixed by a good bodyshop to original specs for 80% the amount it was worth it would not have been totaled.

Many have been fix by leaving out air bags, not straighting the frame correctly, or other short cuts to save money for the rebuilder. As a general rule a vehicle with a salvage title is worth about half of the value of the same car with a clean title. Most banks won't loan on them. They are usually less safe to drive because the structural integerity has been comprimised by a previous collision.

In a word the answer is YES it's bad!!! If it were the same as a vehicle that had never been damaged why would we need to make the vehicle different by issuing a SALVAGE TITLE.

  2. If it's all you can afford, then do what you need to.  But your vehicle is not worth much if wrecked.

  3. well beside it being wreak car was turn in to a junk yard and then resold has salvage not nothing wrong with that at all

  4. I have a "re-built" title and bought the car from a used-car dealership.  There's nothing wrong with the vehicle.

  5. Put it this way , y would be the first and the last owner ....
