... been designed to be insecure. Why would that be ?

It's a paradox because the same company that made the operating system also prosecuted a person who flew into California from Hong Kong with some CDs. I assume the CDs were to help people restore their computers - many people would need to and would receive little free assistance from said manufacturer. (Person got 9 years jail)

Well if you have a windows PC then go to microsoft.com and check for updates and update your PC even if you have bootleg software it won't matter.
