A school question?

Question

Um, I am 10 and I am being homeschooled. My dad has been teaching me with a whiteboard, but we want a chalkboard. Not the type in universities... Just a regular chalkboard in Elementary schools. I need to buy it within Canada or USA. So, any sites?

Any help is appreciated.

Well you have a few options first I would try the cheapest way as in free! Ask the schools in your area, I know many are getting rid of the chalk boards in favor of the white boards. In my town they were doing just that a few years ago. Unfortunately noone at the time wanted them and they ended up at the dump and they were in good condition too what a waste!

The second place to go would be to the paint store to get some of the chalk board paint, you can either paint it on the walls or paint it on a sheet of metal and back the sheet metal with plywood or masonite (the way the many chalk board companies make them especially those advertizing magnetic chalk boards) you could also paint it on a sheet of masonite aka. hard board ((not cardboard) found in most home improvement centers)which is another way companies make chalk boards.

There is always the slate kind but I will asume thats way too expensive for you especially at room size but you could call a slate company or pool table company(slate tops to pool tables)

Finally you can either look up school supply companies or yahoo chalk boards which gave me thousands of hits pic the one in your area.
