I got a long scratch on my snowboard. Because the snow was pretty much ice. What should I do? Should I put wax on it. It is not deep in the snowboard its just really long. But I don't know what do. Should I just leave it alone or something. Please and thanks.

  1. Unless it's really deep, there really isn't anything to do about it.  Not really calling for a p-tex job.  You could wait until the end of the year to just go to a shop and have them redo the entire base.  I ran over a random metal pole sticking out of the ground at Whiteface, and also accumulated some other interesting gouges too.  They were pretty deep.  I took it to my local shop, and they filled them all in, and they also waxed and tuned my edges.  If it's not too serious, just leave it be until the end of the season or something to take care of all of them.

  2. i wouldn't worry about it unless it is pretty deep. most of the time you are on the edges of your board any way so it shouldn't effect your riding. u really only ride on the bottom of the board for a split second when you trasition from edge to edge.

  3. wax.  but seriously, it's a snowboard.  it's gonna get trashed eventually.

  4. well it really matters how deep the scratch is not how long the deeper it is the slower you are going to go bring it to your local ski and snowboard shop and have them rewax it and you will go super fast

  5. Try to wax and rub out, if that doesnt work take to shop and have repaired. If you dont know what you are doing, take to pro.

  6. you should put some milkshake chillie on it
