A second stimulus payment before christmas?????

my boyfriend was told that the government was handing out a second stimulus payment before christmas...is this true????

I've heard rumors to this effect but I don't know.  Since the economic results of the first payments were so dismal is would surprise me if they did it again.  Course bush has nothing to lose by further squandering the taxpayers' money.

I am not sure.  I have heard this rumor, though.  However, I feel that we need to do more to fix our economy than stimulus checks.  We need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, fix the trade deficit, relocalize, and fund our local services again instead of spending all the money on war.
