A seller verbally agreed to pay agent's commission for successful sale. however refused to pay after it's done

without written commission agreement which the seller refused to sign, can i sue the seller and win?

  1. Not very likely.  Unless you have a credible witness, like someone other than a close friend or relative, or proof like a phone message, it's your word against theirs.


  2. You can sue but most likely would not win, but try and get an attorney to write the seller a letter,  it may not be very expensive and it may jerk the seller enough to get them to cough up the money.  Either way you can mess with them a little.  Checking with the attorney may give you options and the consult should be free or little charge too.
