Question:

A serious question about evolution?

umm...i asked about darwin's theory before and they told me that humans and apes shared a common ancestor which means...there was a type of species who seperated and created humans and apes but those species don't exist any longer now....so humans and apes came from one species that no longer exist....that sounds kinda similar to the movie 'the fly' but just the opposite where a human (the scientist) and a house fly which are two different species fuse together to become one new species known as 'brundlefly'....is it kinda similar to this concept of the movie? but just the opposite where in reality one species seperated into 2 different species instead of 2 different species fusing into one species....is it like this?

  1. Both evolution & 'brundlefly' are results of imaginations gone wild.

  2. Wow, you've convinced me... "god" did it.  Amen

  3. You need to read "The seven daughters of Eve" A group of scientists went all over collecting DNA and compared them to try and figure out where we came from. It turns out we are all desendant from the San people. the preponderance of evidence strongly supports evolution but there are some discrepencies.

  4. Home schooled

  5. wow you just converted me to religion with this amazing question.......oh wait no you didnt

  6. That's about it..."mystic".

In fact, they used that same maching you seen in tha movie to do the splittin. Thsy took a chimp and a fly, put em both in thar and turned it on..before Ya knowed it out came a chimp fly and a Republican politician, he wus a Senat or.

Thar Ya have it, the split was dun by Liberals at one of them institetui, uh enstituk, uh inscstiu, uh, schools a larnnin.

Now the President ain't no part Ape, he's special: he is a out n out Bonobo.

Hep Ya? I got me some more.

  7. No, it is not like that. Populations evolve, not individuals. Go here and try to learn something.

  8. The answer to your question has to be that the "theory" of evolution states that one species separated into two different, although quite similar species.  I think that the chimpanzee is said to hold about 95% of the same genes that humans do, but that doesn't make them MY "uncle", I don't think.

  9. Man & fly are not related, and they got fused in a machine.  You're definitely thinking with your right half brain so I'll go there.

It is the purpose of all life to survive & multiply.  It is also the role of species to multiply and diversify(with some new species changed more than others.)  This is success means.

When you go backward in time RELATED species will merge into their common ancestor.  It is basically a mother species that succeeded enough to result in more species.

The Fly movie is similar in a way to evolution in reverse, or whereever two branches on the Tree of Life separated.

  10. I dont know...the theory of evolution is so flawed its pathetic...you know there is so much more evidence to claim that intelligent design is right? everything on evolution is just complete BS. like the "bones" they found of the supposed ancester of humans and apes...well they had it carbon dated by some scientists and they said it was "30 million years old" or whatever...and then they went to the scientists across the town and they said "oh this is about 50 years old" the bones they found were not even found at the same location...parts of it were found a mile or so away from the original bones and we just ASSUMED it was the same creature...its so stupid the only reason people believe in evolution is because they have not done any research and dont want to go to religion because they dont want to stop sinning.

I honestly can believe in an all knowing God MUCH easier than believing in this evolution c**p

  11. Not really.  the concept in movies like that is gene splicing, taking DNA from two seperate creatures and creating a new species.  This is done by genetic engineers.

The process in evolution is called speciation.  Basically here's an example.  Say you have a species of bird that lives in a wide area.  Some of the birds live in hot, dry areas and others in wet cold areas.  Due to the enviornmental adaptation, the genetic lines of the two groups of birds become disparate.  They may eventually not recognize each other and will not breed with each other.  Once the breeds become disparate enough that breeding is impossible between them, or it is possible but leads to sterile offspring, speciation has been acheived and the two are considered different species.

The idea behind man's ancestors is that speciation led to the various primates (chimps, apes, humans) and also lower species such as monkies.

Don't go thinking that we are "more evolved" than chimps or apes though, as we no longer evolve due to the size of our brains.  Evolution happens via need.  We no longer need to evolve to adapt to our enviornment because we use tools and ingenuity to adapt our enviornment to suit our needs.
