Question:

A serious question about probation. Can any professionals help?

I have a hearing tomorrow to determine whether or not I'll be taken off probation.

I've completed everything they've asked me, except for a 705 dollar payment for court costs. Now, if I can only pay PART of that 705, does that mean I'll be going back to jail?

  1. I doubt you will go to jail, but they may extend your probation until the fine is paid.

  2. From my experience, they likely won't let you off until you pay the whole thing. They would have no hook in you if they did.

  3. If the court feels that you have completed everything in your probation except thye repayment of funds they will continue your probation, however you can request from the courts a payment plan, and then there would be the possibility of removing you from formal probation and placing you on Court Probation.
