Shall I compare you to a rose?

Surely you are not one of those

With thorns that prick

The finger tip.

But I will breathe your perfume in

The scent that tells me where you've been

Grown among the flowers in the garden.

its very good, but it needs to be longer or at least have a good ending. im left on the edge with that ending.

I surely would not mind it if my love sent me one as lovely as this.

I suspect that many have never sen the old fashioned climbing roses with the small petals but intoxicating fragrance.  We had one growing outside our front door when I was a child.  The new hybrid roses may be pretty to look at, but I'll take the old climbers any time!
