You open a door and find yourself in a dark room. Nothing is in this room except a light switch.

Leave, if there isn't anything but a light switch... then there would not be a BULB either.

Dont walk in?...if you opened the door to find the dark room, you can just close it back??

Check if the light is working if not leave or get a flash light to look into the room. Since the dark room has nothing except the switch just leave.

If that doesn't work, just don't go into the room.

how can you see a light switch if the room is dark?  and if the only thing in the room is the switch, then what good would flipping the switch do?  there's no light bulb.  

I think i'd close the door because there's light in the hallway or you wouldn't have found the door. And how are you in the dark room if the only thing in it is the light switch?
