A sign or coincidence?

Alright i was thinking to myself that i had no future with this girl that i like cuz it just seemed that she has no idea i lik her or at least thats wat shes basically showing me. I have her for no classes anymore i see her everey once in a while but we have no future. so ive stopped talking to her every chance i get. Then on the bus i was thinking this and i thought to myself im sure ima give up on her and then i was like if only there was a sign. Then like 5 seconds later this fairly decent looking girl and her friend sit by me and one of them starts talking to me so i start flirting but i think i did it smoothly u know showing her im interested. Wat do u guys and girls think?

Convo went more or less like this cuz i was talking to my friend just so she could here me:

Her: hey u wanna sit by your friend

Me: Nah im o.k y u wanna sit with youre?

Her: Yeah

Me: Nah im o.k bu if u wanna sit by her cuz your already doing it

Her: I know but i was just wondering

Me: Wat uhh bus stop do u get of at

Her: First one

Me: so wats the point of that then (with a joking smile)

Her: well o.k then she goes back to talking with her friend

Me: so r u a new to this school

Her:Yeah

Me: Then i ask her if her intermediate is the same as mine and she says yes

Then loud enouph so she could here i ask my friend if my drawing was any good knowing it was and she turns around and looks at it while i give it to my friend and he goes yes and compliments me then she pretends she never saw it. Then she gets off an says bye

So any thoughts on this im not sure if i should ask her name 4 my next step?

Im sorry but thts a pretty pathetic convo.  Haha but i guess it's a start.  Next time make sure you get her name it will be a good way to start another convo.  I think your on the right track it all starts with small talk.  Good luck!!! :-))
