how much should someone of 5"6 weigh to fit into it?

  1. I'm 5'6" and I'm not sure what I weigh cos my scales have been out of action since July, but I fit in a size four, though I can wear anything up to a size 10 comfortably like. It really depends on brands and stuff.

  6. Size 6 is about a 30 inch chest. It's like a children's size. I wouldn't say it's normal unless somebody is ill. I would think about 6 1/2 stone. You would be very weak and not able to do much for yourself.

    That's for somebody your height.

    I love being a size 12 as I have the bust and hips that men like while not being too fat either. I feel quite safe too, as I do martial arts and know I can protect myself if anybody tried to attack me because I have built up some muscle.

    My friend is from Brazil and only 5 foot and a size six, but I think for somebody your height it wouldn't be healthy or look nice. I think most British women tend to be bigger and stronger than that. My friend is going to have to pay 4000 pounds for a boob job as she doesn't have any.

  7. Well I'm that height and I'm 55kg on the doctor's scales (not sure what that is in stones but it's between 8 and 9 stone.)

    I get into a six in tops in a few shops e.g. dorothy perkins, sometimes miss selfridge, my waist is 26inches and I'm a 30 back size in bra's so i'm small up top. It makes no sense because you're supposed to have a 24 inch waist for size 6 clothes.

  9. I am size 6, and I am 6.7 stone. I am 5ft though. Don't listen to all these stupid people that are telling you size six is ill and wrong; you'll generally find these types of comments tend to come from fat people who are jealous because they are not slim (bring on the thumbs down, I don't care!) or just don't have the self discipline to stay slim. As long as your getting your 5 a day, and other nutrition it is perfectly fine. At your height, you could drop to 8 stone, which would give you a BMI of 18.8,which is within the normal BMI range.The ONLY time being size 6 is unhealthy is if your;

    A) starving yourself stay A size 6

    B) starving yourself to BE a size 6

    NEVER did I suggest the asker should drop to 6.7 stone, I said 6.7 stone for MY height. NOT her height, you see this is the problem with people who don't understand what people are saying. For someone who is 5"6, she could drop to 8.5 stone, which would make her aprox size 6 and she would be within normal BMI range 18.88.. normal range is 18-25. Like I said, I have checked this out with many Drs and Nutritionists, I suggest you do the same before critising what i have said.

    My BMI is 17.77, which is just under normal range. But I am very athletic and I run long distances, so this isn't abnormal. Again, I must stress, I never suggested the asker should drop to my weight. My weight, is ok for my height (or as you correctly pointed out, a bit under).

    No , Normal BMI range is 18.5-25, if the asker's height is 5"6 and she drops to 8.5 stone that would give her a BMI of 18.88 which is WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE. The rest of what you said is correct, BMI is just a height/weight ratio, muscle isn't taken into consideration. I never said any Dr would agree below 18.5 is healthy...I was simply meaning, size 6 does not have to equal unhealthy.
