  1. If you are leaving it in salt water make sure that the motor is coated to prevent severe corrosion!


  2. If possible run the motor in fresh water after every salt water run.  If this is not possible, tilt the motor. place a fresh water hose into the water intake and  flush that way for a few minutes. MIND YOUR FINGERS NEAR THE PROPELOR
