Question:

A small, whitish worm, similar in appearance to housefly maggots, but 1/3 to 1/2 the size?

I'd guess about 1.5 cm in lenth, and perhaps 3-5 mm in diameter, with a projection of some sort at one end, and (here's the weird part) capable of JUMPING, many times their body length, say 8-10 inches. Anybody have a clue what these are? I'm in southeastern Wisconsin, but these may not be native, as the truck they were found in hauls all manner of vegetable matter from far-flung locales.
