Question:

A small white C on the NFL jerseys?

I've noticed on the jerseys of several players a white C in the upper right side of the torso. Like, for example if you look at Peyton Manning's jersey there's a white C with 4 stars or so underneath it. What's that C for? If it stands for Captain, how come Tom Brady doesn't wear one?

  1. it does stand for captain. It could be because Brady doesn't need to be a captain . Everyone on the Patriots knows that Brady is their captain so he does not have to wear the " C" because he's already earned his teammates trust and respect.

  2. It is for captain. Tom Brady must not be the captain for the Pats Offense.

  3. Stands for Captain and Brady doesn't have what it takes to be one.

  4. yes it stands for Captain. And not all QB's were them, Brady being one of them. I believe the captain of the Pats is Junior Seau. I think it mainly out of leadership. The team picks them.

  5. cuz maybe he doesnt want 2?? not all starting quarter backs are captains and some great football players arent captains like randy moss

  6. I seem to recall hearing that it was optional.  Brady has been the captain for the last seven years; maybe Belichick won't let any of them wear the C, as a kind of team morale builder.  Remember when they introduced the Pats as a whole team?  I'm thinking its something like that.

  7. It stands for captain, Tom Brady isn't a captain for the patriots

  8. I'm not a football fan, but in hockey, it signifies the captain of the team.

  9. Tom Brady doesn't wear one because Roger Goodell does not allow cameras on players uniforms.

The injured guys on the PUP New England might wear them. They practice anyway.

It follows the NE credo. Cheat to gain an advantage.
