A solid competition on the cards in Haydock Park Annual Badgeholders Conditions Stakes
Only five runners have been attracted towards the Haydock Park Annual Badgeholders Conditions Stakes in England on Friday, October 19, 2012. All of them are trained really well and have the ability to make a strong impression in the class-3 encounter, thus
a thrilling competition is on the cards.
The going has been described as heavy, as there has been a lot of rain at Haydock over the past couple of days. The participants will be hoping that the conditions get better before the start of action at 15:00 GMT. Some of them might have to withdraw from
the event, if things remain similar to what they are at the moment.
Speed will be crucial in determining the winner of the 7 furlong race and the one who starts well will definitely hold the edge. However, the conditions are a bit tricky and the stallions will need to be careful. There is a risk of sustaining an injury on
a wet track, as it requires extra effort from the runners.
Looking at the record of all the entrants, it is clear that the competition will be a close one in the end. However, the bookmakers have given the best odds to Pure Excellence, despite the fact that she has not been consistent in her career until now. The
heavy ground might suit her though, thus the punters will be interested in gambling some money in her favour.
The two-year-old filly started off her career in July 2012 and her performance was brilliant right in her very first outing. Despite not being rated as the favourite to succeed, she took the top spot comfortably.
However, things have not really worked out well for the Mark Johnston’s trainee since then, as she has not managed to win any event afterwards. She has got a great opportunity of doing so today, but will have to be at her absolute best.
On the other hand, Bravo Youmzain will also be eying a victory in the race. He has never managed to finish first in his career, but that does not mean he is short of talent. He has raced four times and produced decent results for his team on every occasion.
He will look to bring up his maiden victory under jockey, Adam Kirby.
