it's period is 2hr 12min. An orbital telescope is to be placed into orbit at 12,000km. What is its expected period? My maths is truly awful so any calculations to show me how it's done would e appreciated!

  1. There is no chance of a space laboratory orbiting the earth at a distance of 6000kms from center of teh earth since, the diameter of the earth at any point on its surface is above 6360Km.

The equatorial diameter is c.7,926 mi (12,760 km) and the polar diameter 7,900 mi (12,720 km)
